This week we are using light weights during our Pilates sessions.
Add some resistance to your usual moves. You want to use a weight that allows you to continue to maintain good posture, alignment and effective movement.
The benefit of weights during Pilates is to add tone and strength without adding bulk to all the muscle groups, particularly back, abdominals, chest and shoulders.
Use between 1-2kg of weights and remember that it is your workout, the exercises will still be effective without weights. Use and discard them as you listen to your body.
